Planting a forest at WB Farm

Alongside our fields and worm beds, we have been planting a natural forest of native trees on part of WB Farm. More than 10,000 saplings are in the ground so far.
Why a forest on a farm?
- Tree roots hold the soil on the slopes of the Shivalik foothills.
- Leaf litter feeds the soil and our compost.
- Birds and insects that live in the trees help control pests in the fields.
You can walk through the young forest when you visit the farm.
